Co-Electrolysis: Turning CO₂ into Valuable Resources

Co-Electrolysis: Turning CO₂ into Valuable Resources

🌍 What if we could turn CO₂ into something valuable, instead of letting it harm the planet?

At H2Electro, we’re doing just that with co-electrolysis—a process that combines CO₂ and H₂O to produce syngas (a mixture of hydrogen and carbon monoxide). Syngas is a key precursor for producing a range of valuable chemicals and fuels, making it an important building block for a more sustainable energy and industrial ecosystem.

The magic behind our co-electrolysis process lies in our fully ceramic Solid Oxide Electrolysis Cells (SOECs). By using fully ceramic fuel electrodes instead of Ni-cermets or precious metals, we’ve made our stacks more efficient, durable, and cost-effective—paving the way for scalable hydrogen and syngas production.

While biogas stations are one example of where this technology can be applied, co-electrolysis has far-reaching potential. By capturing carbon emissions and converting them into useful products, we can contribute to a cleaner, more circular economy across multiple industries.

At H2Electro, we specialize in producing these innovative electrolyser stacks. And together with our partners, we also provide complete electrolyser systems to help bring this technology to life. We’re not just developing a product; we’re shaping the future of sustainable energy.
