We’re looking for a Chemist to join our team at H2Electro to develop our next generation high-temperature electrolyser stacks and systems.

Within your position you will be dealing with the following topics:

You will be managing a laboratory and data validation.
You will be conducting tests on materials and other substances to ensure that safety and quality standards are met.
You will be maintaining accurate and complete records of all analytical testing and laboratory scale trials / evaluations performed in the lab.
You will be maintaining adequate supplies of all necessary laboratory consumables. Maintaining the laboratory in a clean and orderly condition at all times, while ensuring that all required instrumentation and other equipment in the laboratory is properly maintained, calibrated, and ready for use.
You will be developing and validating hypotheses based on project/platform criteria from proof-of-concept in the lab, through prototype/pilot, to eventual manufacturing scale to create and commercialise differentiated product offerings for customers.
You will be analysing data critically by using appropriate tools, drawing logical conclusions, and recommending decisions/next steps to the project team.
You will be developing and safely executing lab and pilot work plans/tasks to generate accurate and reliable data within pre-defined timelines.
You will be establishing internal networks within the technology function and cross-functional teams and gaining knowledge and proficiency in internal technology and business processes to effectively complete project deliverables.
You will be building external networks with technology providers, universities, tollers, suppliers, etc. as appropriate to drive projects forward.
You will be promoting open technical communication, including knowledge management/timely documentation.

Therefore, we are seeking a Chemist who is pragmatic, hands-on, and possesses considerable experience in the field. Our ideal candidate should share our commitment to environmental preservation and demonstrate expertise in hydrogen and associated systems and processes.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemistry, materials science or a related field.
Fundamental knowledge and understanding of screen printing and sintering of ceramics.
Practical experience working in a chemistry laboratory. Experience working with electrolysers or fuel cells is preferred, but not required.
Demonstrated adherence to scientific methodologies and best practices.
Proven track record of identifying and solving problems with a creative approach.
Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to independently identify new opportunities.
Strong team player who actively engages and communicates effectively with a diverse, global team to achieve shared goals and objectives.
Proficiency in laboratory work and familiarity with relevant equipment.
Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities.
Excellent self-management skills and a willingness to confront challenges.
Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal, to maintain effective workflow.
