Topsoe has just achieved a significant milestone in the realm of green hydrogen with their SOEC demo, revealing robust results that highlight the immense potential of Solid Oxide Electrolysis Cells (SOECs). During the demo, which involved 12 stacks and 1200 cells, Topsoe maintained a combined stack power of 350 kW with exceptional stability and efficiency over 2250 hours of operation. These results demonstrate the reliability and efficiency of SOECs, with an impressive efficiency of around 93%. This achievement positions SOEC technology as a game-changer in the quest for low-carbon hydrogen production.
