Pushing the Boundaries of Ceramic SOEC Performance

Pushing the Boundaries of Ceramic SOEC Performance

We’re thrilled to share key progress from our ongoing collaboration with DynElectro.

Our joint R&D efforts have now reached a major milestone:

🔹 At 850°C, current densities of 0.8 A/cm²

🔹 At 750°C, current densities of 0.5 A/cm²

(All at thermoneutral voltage, ~1.3 V)

📉 Why this matters:

By lowering the operating temperature by over 100°C from typical SOEC conditions, the system can utilize more cost-effective stack materials and benefit from extended component lifetimes — without compromising performance.

These results validate H2Electro’s fully ceramic cell concept and mark a strong step toward real-world, industrial-scale SOEC applications.

We’re proud of this collaborative achievement and look forward to pushing these advancements even further in upcoming test phases.
